English Language Training Program

Overview

The English Language Training Program (ELTP) at Southern University and A & M College-Baton Rouge (SUBR) delivers an intensive English instructional program for international students. The course of instruction involves placement testing and accommodates students from the beginning level to the advanced language proficiency.

Faculty

This program is administered and taught by full-time, competent, certified faculty who hold membership in many language training organizations, including Teachers of English for Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Additionally, faculty members hold advanced degrees in English, Foreign Languages, and Education.

These dedicated professionals are committed to helping ELTP students improve their English reading, writing and speaking skills.

Cultural Activities

The ELTP provides activities which will strengthen the English acquisition through cross-cultural experiences. These activities are carefully planned and executed throughout the greater Baton Rouge community and the South Louisiana area.
